  1. Hi there. I am also one who stumbled upon your site from Pinterest. I got so caught up in reading about your daughter I couldn’t help but leave a note for you. I know you have probably heard over and over what a strong person you are, and I know (from my own experience) you get tired of hearing it after a while, especially when you feel your weakest…but I have to say, just from reading you blog, you sound like a VERY strong woman. I myself went through a difficult time with my (at the time) 19 year old daughter in 2010. She almost passed away but is thankfully, still with us today. She contracted fungal meningitis and a lot of complications came with that, first a coma, and now is a paraplegic. She has a 3 year old son, they both live with us. I am thankful every single day for her, there’s a reason she’s here, I know this. There’s a reason the good Lord saved her. Sometimes I wonder, what is the reason, but I truly try not to question it. It’s hard every single day, but then I read your blog and thought….at least I still have my daughter….I know how scared I was when the nurse came to the waiting room at 12am telling us to go spend as much time with her as we could, they didn’t think she was going to make it. I will keep you and your family in my prayers….keep the faith….that was the most important/hardest thing for me to do throughout our whole ordeal.

  2. Hello Tina,
I accidentally stumbled onto your website thru a pin on pinterest. I found myself drawn into the beautiful, heartbreaking story you are telling. As I read thru the posts, I realized that we have a connection. My family lived in Castle Dale from around 1976-1983. While I was only 5 when we moved to Price, I know that the Peacocks were good friends of our family and one of the Peacock boys bought our house when we moved. My parents are Tom(Tiny) and Nancy Owings and I have an older sister named Lisa.
Thank you for sharing your story with me, it touches my heart.
Our hearts and prayers are with your family.

    • I am so glad you found my blog. I remember meeting your dad years ago. Neal still lives in your old house :) Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me.
